He called distressed. He said he had a bad day. I just didn't know it'd be this bad. As he was telling me the events of his day he started crying. He was ashamed "I can't believe I fucking did that shit." Cops were out there looking for him. He heard the sirens every five minutes. They knew his name and what school he went to. A number keeps calling repeatedly on his cellphone with the caller ID reading "restricted". "They know too much." His breath was shaky and his thoughts turned more and more paranoid by the minute. Pausing to listen through the wall to hear what his parents were talking about. He even hung up on me once thinking someone was tapping into our phone call. "If they don't get me today they'll find me either tomorrow or Sunday or Monday. Definitely by Monday."

I asked him what was his biggest fear. "My parents finding out. They think I'm a good guy y'know? They're going to find out I jumped a guy for drugs and money. The stupid thing is, when we checked his pockets, there wasn't even any money" I asked him how bad the guy got beat up. He said he thinks he broke his nose. "Fuck. My moms goin' to cry. I hate it when she cries. . because everytime she cries it's because of me."
